Research daily briefing (cron)

Upgrade the classic Daily Briefing Bot to the professional-research stack: multi-query search, source grading, and a brief with citations — still fully automated via cron + gateway.

Prerequisites​

  • Gateway running (vibeos gateway / installed service)
  • Web search configured (FIRECRAWL_API_KEY and/or YANDEX_SEARCH_API_KEY + folder)
  • Optional: Telegram/Discord home channel for delivery
  • Optional: vibeos research preset research-pro --apply

One-shot prompt (self-contained)​

Cron sessions have no prior chat memory. Put everything in the prompt:

You are writing a daily research briefing.

Topics (last 24–48 hours unless noted):
1. AI agents and tool-using LLMs
2. <YOUR TOPIC B>
3. <YOUR TOPIC C>

Procedure — follow the professional-research skill:
1. Decompose each topic into 2 sub-queries.
2. web_search each sub-query (prefer Yandex for Russian topics).
3. web_extract the best 2–4 URLs per topic.
4. Grade sources (A–D); discard D for hard claims.
5. Write a briefing with:
   - Date header
   - Per-topic: 2 stories max, headline, 2-sentence summary, URL, grade
   - Contradictions / gaps (or "none")
   - Confidence + method (backends used)
6. Do not invent URLs. Keep the whole briefing under ~600 words.

Schedule​

Natural language (in chat):

Every weekday at 8:00, run the research daily briefing prompt above and deliver to telegram.

RU / CIS variant​

  1. Install optional skill:
    vibeos skills install official/research/ru-public-sources
  2. Set web.search_backend: yandex (or run vibeos research preset research-pro --apply).
  3. Add a topic that needs registries only when needed; for pure news, stick to wires + Yandex.

Delivery tips​

  • Messaging: configure home channel; ask the cron prompt to “deliver to telegram”.
  • Local-only: omit delivery — outputs land under cron output dirs.
  • Keep prompts short enough for cron’s session limits; use 2–3 topics max.
